About me
I'm a recent honors graduate from UC Santa Barbara with a B.S. in Statistics and Data Science. Very generally, I enjoy figuring out how things work and then making things work. My journey in tech began with Data Science where I began working on personal projects. I learned that my favorite part was actually deploying machine learning models because people could actually use what I created. From here I started working on projects outside Data Science. This has taken me down paths exploring mobile app development, video game development and most recently, building and deploying full stack web applications like Soundmates for Spotify and BrandWiz.
As apart of my Statistics and Data Science Degree, I completed a capstone project with the local sports science company P3. P3 typically uses their large library of biomechanical measurements on professional atheletes to help with injury prevention. The goal of our project with them was to use that same data to model on-court performance for NBA players. I created a random forest model that can be used to evaluate NBA Draft Prospects and how they would perform over there first couple of years in the NBA.
Outside of class and work, I enjoy watching and playing basketball, working out and playing video games. Although it hasn't always been fun, I enjoy rooting on the Sacramento Kings (light the beam!), San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Chargers.
